Money is the universal metric of measuring success. Isn’t it? Specky Geek is also crossing milestones of success, one at a time. I have been often asked if Specky Geek makes money. I guess they want to measure the success of this blog.
Many bloggers regularly share their income report. So far I haven’t published any income report. It’s time you get to know how much Specky Geek earns. I am not trying to boast of my huge income. Truth is, Specky Geek earns very less when compared with other blogs in this niche.
My main source of income is WordPress and web design consultation and services. Two free WordPress themes have become a good source of income. I regularly get contributions of $5-10 from people using the themes on their websites. It’s 100% passive income. I also get regular enquiries for WordPress customization and help.
I had stayed away from affiliate marketing for quite some time but now I am promoting two fantastic webhosting companies–GoDaddy and Hostgator. I have used hosting from both the companies and am one of their satisfied customers. I am promoting high-qualtiy products only.
I had been depending on Google AdSense for one of my old blogs which I sold for $1,000 last year. I am yet to decide whether to include AdSense on this website or not. (What do you think?)
In the past three months (January to March), I have earned $1,515 through WordPress themes and consultation services. On an average, it comes to $500 per month. I hope to make more money in coming months as I am going to focus on making money along with writing high-quality and useful articles.
